Events (check as many as you like):

Beautification Days and BIG SUNDAY: (October 2016; November 2016; May 2017) Help with ideas and plans for campus cleanup days. Work in garden areas weeding and planting, clean up classrooms, do repairs, etc. Chair or co-chair needed.
Book Fair: (September 2016) Supervise setup, sales, and break down. Chair: Michele Robinson.
Coffee with the Principal: (September 2016; January 2017; April 2017) Help with setup and cleanup. Chair: Stacey Shortt.
Faculty and Staff Luncheons: (August 2016; December 2016; May 2017) Help plan and/or serve at our luncheons for teachers and other school staff. Chair: Stacey Shortt.
Meet and Greet: (August 2016) Welcome new families to Palms at a public park gathering. Co-chairs: Lori Berman and Judy Posner.
Visitor Days: (October 2016; October 2016; November 2016; April 2017) Serve as a tour guide for prospective Palms families. Translators (Spanish and Korean) needed as well. Chair: Gail Torr.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities (check as many as you like):

Auditor. Review Friends of Palms and PTSA financial statements.
Bakers: Bake goodies for luncheons and other school events.
Dining for Dollars: Arrange for local restaurants to host a Palms night. Co-chairs: Michele Robinson and Astrid Martinez-Fribourg.
Family Annual Donation and Fundraising: Help with ideas, publicity, and recordkeeping for our fundraising efforts. Co-chairs: Kelley Reynolds, Lori Berman, and Judy Posner.
Grant Writing: Help us find and apply for grants. Chair: Michele Robinson.
Grocery Store and Boxtops Programs: Publicize these "cash back to Palms" programs and turn in collected box tops. Chair: Leslie Wong.
Morning Drop-Off Lanes: Help with the morning drop-off lanes for 30 minutes before school one day a week (your choice). Coordinators or co-coordinators needed.
Palms Gear: Help sell Palms sweatshirts and other promotional items at school events. Help us track our inventory. Chair or co-chair needed.
PTSA Vice President: Lead PTSA membership drive (starting August 2016). Record memberships and distribute membership cards.
Reflections Art Program: Help our students participate in the PTA art, dance, literature, music, and photography contest and end-of-year show. Chair: Dorothy Pincus.
Supervision: Supervise students during Break or Lunch. You can choose which days of the week. Chair: Nirit Brand.
Translators: Translate letters and flyers into Spanish, Korean, etc. Volunteers needed.
Website Managers: Learn how to manage the Palms website. The job can be done at home, in any hours you have available. You'll learn how from previous website managers. Website Managers: Neil Cuadra, Uttara Natarajan.
Website Reporters: Post news of upcoming calendar events. Post information emailed to you by the school staff. The job can be done at home, in any hours you have available. Web reporters: Barbara Fellows, Jami Messinger, Linda Prinzo.
Westside Saver Card: Help with solicitation, production, and sales of our discount card for local stores and businesses. Coordinator: Gail Torr.
