Letters about Literature finalists
Palms students selected for the California state competition:

Genevieve Marino, Navy Casady, Tuesday White, and Gabriella Frangiyyeh

Seventh grade Honors English students taught by Mr. Reynolds were honored recently by the Center for the Book of the Library of Congress for their outstanding entries in the 2016 Letters about Literature Contest.
Among the 1,117 letters submitted by California seventh and eighth graders from public, private, and parochial middle schools, these four Palms students were among the 44 selected for the state-level competition.
Gabby's letter was selected as one of only six finalists!
This is the second time in the past three years that seventh graders at Palms have been recognized for their outstanding writing abilities.
Their letters were evaluated by a panel of independent judges for originality, creativity, thoughtful observation, insightful interpretation, and other factors.
