Palms welcomes all volunteers: parents, students, and community members. Some volunteers participate on councils. Some are members of the Friends of Palms Board. Some are chairpersons for specific programs and events. And some just help wherever they can.

The morning Drop-Off Lane on Woodbine Street keeps the process organized and improves safety for students arriving at school. The parent-run program began in February 2012.

We have some volunteers but need a few more parents willing to help one morning a week. Participating parents will receive LAUSD training.

• Campus Clean-Up Day Chairperson: Organize the campus clean up days (3-4 times per year).

• Grocery Card Chairperson: Make sure all of our accounts are up-to-date, explore what other e-script opportunites might make sense for Palms, and promote the program among parents.

• Campus Supervision Coordinator: We need to come up with a schedule of parents who can volunteer one hour of their lunch time to simply hang out on campus during school lunch. The Supervision Coordinator will develop the schedule and keep a calendar posted so parents know their assignments. Ideally, we'd like to identify about 20 parents who can each donate 1 hour per month.

• Palms Gear Coodinator: Handle sweatshirt sales during key school events and keep up the inventory.
