Dr. MoriuchiA message from Principal Dr. Moriuchi:

I want to inform parents and the community that Palms Middle School is in the middle of budget planning for the 2020-2021 school year.

When creating the master schedule and hiring teachers, our first priority is to do what's best for students by putting available personnel in classrooms to lower class size. We understand the importance of putting a qualified teacher in all classrooms.

The school is looking to increase enrollment in the 6th grade to make room for new students in the Communications and Media Magnet Center. We anticipate an exciting first year for this new magnet.

Lastly, I wanted to thank all parents for everything you do. Your commitment has made us stronger and we truly appreciate all you've done and continue to do. Have a great week.

coffee cupPalms parents are invited to Coffee With the Principal, which will take place on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 9:00am in the Library.

Principal Dr Moriuchi will be discussing vaping and its harmful effects.

Vaping has received serious media attention and it has become a matter of concern at schools. Unless you're familiar with the types of vaping devices, you may not be aware that those around you are vaping.

Please join us and bring any questions you have on this topic and other school topics.
